First frame = we liked the moment and felt it said a lot about both mother and child, we debated if it only worked or us because it was toned in black and white... nevertheless we judged it the strongest. Second = good portrait we felt showed us something about the subject's personality; one judge commented that this could run in a number of contexts from advertising to editorial; just a solid frame. Third = we liked this frame, the tones and colors especially, but felt it could have been better visualized given the subject matter.
