Unfortunately, spot news was not one of the strongest categories. Despite that, both first and second place did a good job of telling the story. We really appreciated that the first-place photographer took the time to get names, as well as get access as close as they did. We did feel that the sequencing was out of order in both entries and would have been stronger if sequenced differently.
