All three images that we awarded show fantastic peak action, and were shot very well. The emotion of the first place winner set it apart. Second and third place were very close behind. All three judges did want to note that there were several other images that we would have been interested in awarding, but they had somewhat extreme toning that was quite jarring, and we were concerned the toning went beyond ethical standards.
