First Place: “Flipped” is a cool moment that shows peak action. We appreciate how no body parts are cropped out of frame, and a clean background with no clutter is also nice to see when covering a football game. Second Place: Nice job capturing linemen action in “holding on.” It's not as common to see photos that aren't focused on the player with the ball. Third Place: We like the crop of “Bayou Classic.” We don't need to see the full body of both players to know what's happening. Alternate: “Stretch” is a sharp and nicely lit photo. It's nice to see the line judge in the background, but maybe it needed a tighter crop to lose the coach on the right.
