Judges Comments

We picked first place because of the clean background and low angle. The action draws the viewer into the story but they must read the caption to find out if the ball was caught or dropped. The spectators and the ball not quite in the glove made the second-place photo although we thought maybe a crop from the right might improve the image. The third-place image of the track meet would also benefit from a crop on the right side. The honorable mention image is great action. Just not as clean as some of the other winners.
