Judges Comments

First place is a funny nostalgic moment of using the ancient technology of a payphone. Second place had a good feeling of being there and in the moment. We like that both pairs of feet are stretching up in the air paired with the arm movements. The photographer was patient and had to wait for something to capture. Some of these images were good daily images but few rose to the caliber of a clip winner. They didn’t have stopping power, in other words an image that makes us stop and look for bit. Some photos entered in general news and photo story / essay might have been better entered as single image in Feature.
