There were some really nice selections, but we are finding the multi-image submissions for non-essay entries sabotaging themselves rather than amplifying them. This was the case for spot news as one entry fell for the strength of some of the photos, when a single photo would have given it a better chance. The photo essay category actually only had one entry that qualified as the other four entries exemplified the multi image category, and not a photo essay, so we only had one winner for that category. LL-grad-Good energy and the fact you shot this with a wide angle that puts you close to the action was very nice.

LL-loved the vantage point of this shot and the interaction of the birds was great.
