Judges Comments

First Place: There were only three entries in this category. “Fire Oxygen” was a great moment to find while covering a house fire. Way to look beyond the obvious! Second Place: We really liked the way “Crash” was photographed. The framing of the trooper is spot-on. It was smart to shoot this wide and get everything in the frame. Third Place: We couldn't get a sense of what was happening in “Officer Involved Shooting.” Not sure if this could have been shot differently, or if this aftermath just wasn't very photo worthy.
