First place is a compelling series of four photos, including one of a man being brought ashore after a boat capsized in rough surf. Each photo advances our understanding of the incident without becoming redundant. Second place was a captivating image of a man detained by officials during a police action. Third place was solid coverage as police conduct a high-risk stop on a party van, removing its occupants at gunpoint. NOTE: Please double check EVERYTHING about your entries before submitting them.
