First Place stood out immediately. We expect the photographer saw the moment coming and was rewarded when the athlete turned into the light. There may be a little photoshop burning in the picture but not enough to disqualify it. Second Place and Third Place were switched a couple of times during discussion but ultimately we liked that the photographer anticipated the group hug and got in position to get it. The expressions and body language in the Third Place basketball photo are everything you hope for on the sidelines. HM was in and out of the top three but the technical issues with the photo kept it where it is.
