This was a strong category with a lot of nice images and moments. First place jumped out with the player's reaction and clean background. Second place also had great reaction and composition, and we went back and forth on both of these for first place. Third place felt intimate, like you were right there feeling the athlete's pain from the injury. The alternate had good emotion, but could have used a little crop from the left to draw your eye in better.
