The exposure, composition and frozen action moment are perfect in the first place photo. Everything the viewer could want to know is there right there-the dunk, the crowd, the trepidation of the person being dunked over with her body language. Second place is great with the coaches face mimicking his shirt and hat- while a tighter crop could have worked we think the loose crop showing a bit of the dugout helped set the yelling mood. We like the up close and personal view (even though it obviously wasn’t actually shot up close) of the celebratory huddle of sorts of the third place image- makes us feel like we are right there in the happy moment.
