Judges Comments

First Place: “Rodeo Penalty” is a sharp photo that captures a good reaction moment. Second Place: We thought “Teddy Bear Toss” was a cool photo, and it was smart of the photographer to shoot this wide — it makes the viewer feel like they're part of the moment. Third Place: The unique way of shooting “Fleet Feet” attracted us to the photo. It's a different way to shoot a marathon. We did feel like it needed an in-focus element to make the photo a little stronger. Alternate: “Win” is a nice celebratory moment, but it could have been toned better to brighten it and make the subjects stand out more from the background.
