This was a solid category with very thought out entries that led to a lot of discussion on our choices. There was a multiple photo entry that unfortunately couldn't be considered because it only had two images, but otherwise would have placed.
First place, the photographer did a great job to stack a silhouette on top of a silhouette with their framing. Our favorite part is how each person feels like a different character with everyone doing something unique.
Second place is a great moment that has jubilation and dejection that tells the story of the game in a single frame. It would have been even stronger with a tighter crop to remove the player's legs and focus on the emotion.
Third place shows really nice vision to be in the right place to make a good frame, but would have been stronger with a tighter crop and one second later to avoid kids intersecting wih the light pole. We want to see the next frame in this sequence instead.
ALTERNATE: Nice clean image that would have been stronger if the player's head had not been intersecting with the sideline.
