For sports feature, first place was just a clean, well-executed dejection photo. We liked the lyrical quality of the second place image, and the interplay of the silhouetted figures, that's not the photo we would expect from that assignment. Third is a well made reaction photo that tells the story of a local team in contrast to the winning opposition in the background. It's nicely framed, and tells the story in a single image. Sports feature was also a strong category.
