Judges Comments

There was some discussion over whether first place qualified as a portrait. After reviewing NPPA's category guidelines we decided it fit. We all felt it was a strong image that captured the essence of the subject's story. Fantastic light and composure. Again double check your publication dates. Second place utilized creative framing. Third had solid strobe lighting and a creative angle.
