First place made the viewer want to jump into the river with the family. The light was obviously harsh at that time of day but in this case it helped to tell the story. Might be time to get the sensor cleaned on the camera though.
Second place was a unique moment of face painting with interesting light. We liked the detail of the paint on the fingernails and how it complemented the actual face painting.
Third place had great framing and we liked seeing the eyes of the bird and the person.
