Judges Comments
The judges were unanimous in their choice of first place and its ability to communicate the stress of heat while eliciting empathy for the situation. Similarly, the judges also agreed that the editorial relevance and emotional poignancy of second and third were well-delivered. The light and aesthetic organization of the second-place choice were the edge that put it ahead of third.
