Entrants should take advantage of the Features category for the lighter events. Several entries such as the Mexican dancers belonged in a different category, unless the caption provide information it is news. First: Cicadas is a strong package with a variety of perspectives and strong captions provided a reason why the entry was in a News category. Second: Grad Celebration has great faces and the Superintendent's reaction makes the photo. Excellent use of a long-ish lens for a clean background. Third: An excellent job of including people in the frame for what was probably a follow-up story. The frame would benefit from cropping the right side of frame putting more emphasis on the bullet hole.
