Judges Comments

We awarded first place to the runners reflected in the rain puddle because the composition added so much to an everyday assignment. The tilted horizon works in this one. The gymnast photo is too clean to pass up, and the perfect moment. The basketball scramble could have been cleaner but we liked the low low camera angle. HM went to the basketball players about to hammer the guy trying to score, but it was not clean enough to place. We like narrow depth of field and dark backgrounds if they don't add to the action.
