First - the photographer did a good job capturing a difficult subject - a neighborhood in transition. There were a couple images that could have been edited out, but the strong photography overall warranted the award. Second - Good storytelling overall, disappointing though that the action photo did not have the subject handling the ball. Photographer did well with the variety of images and angles.
Other stories lacked variety and cohesive storyline.
