First Place: Border patrol was easily our first place story. The
category as a whole was supremely weak, but this story was shot
very well.
Second Place: The story of India Returnees was interesting and had
some decent frames, but could have been captioned or explained
better. We had a hard time finding the story.
We elected not to award a third place, and sadly wished we could
have awarded one for the carnival essay, but the captions indicated it
was published in September... Not sure why it was in November's
entries...
The Marines Anniversary set had two decent singles in it but was
redundant and really a General News entry. It didn't belong here.
