Judges Comments

First place captured the emotion of the subject well during a difficult event. Vigils are never easy to cover. Second place we thought had a nice storytelling aspect to it, and the decor of the worker in the cage also gave us a sense of place. Third place: We really enjoyed many of the photos which used different compositions well. We thought the inclusion of the photo with the car brought the overall entry down a tad.
