We like the creativity of first place by using the needles and thread to tell the story of who the person as well of course the way the subject is posed and framed-it all just works really well for a strong portrait. In second place we immediately wanted to see the skyline outside the windows but also thought it wasn’t needed and blowing out the background actually worked just fine and maybe made it a stronger portrait. Kudos to the photographer for taking a chance and doing something unexpected for that portrait environment. For third place we like how the photog focused on the miniature car instead of the person collecting it and kept them still there but not front and center
