Quite a few images of planned events among the submissions, and many nice photographs, but we opted to stay pretty true to the definition of feature photo, recognizing several winners for their slice-of-life quality and general interest appeal.
The first place winner appealed to us with its simple color palate, narrow focus and painterly quality. Second award was a nice moment that captured the essence of the event in an engaging, heart-warming way. Third place was a very nice feature find, elevated by the presence of the dog, of course.
