The first place image showed some creativity with an otherwise boring police station assignment. Using the filing cabinet to add details to the case the detective is assigned working is a nice detail and adds to the overall nicely lit portrait. The second place image stood out with it's nice lighting and framing. The lines in the image were visually appealing. The photographer could have worked to move the camera slightly to avoid the window panes lining up with her head. The third place image is a nice sportrait, a nicely lit image, but a better eye on the player's pinky would have moved this image up in the rankings.
