The first place image leaped out at us immediately. A great moment with such enthusiasm from the crowd. We liked the layering of the wrestling bout in the foreground and the emotion from the student section in focus. It struck us that only one person in the frame had a phone, a rarity in this day and age. Second place for us stood out as a nicely cropped, tight, moment where the rest of the entries were mostly wide. Third place is a nice moment of the goalie spraying down their face, the angle of the photo helped the image stand out compared to other, similar entries. We liked the beads of water. Honorable mention was given to the basketball celebration, but a tighter crop on the image would have helped.
