First Place: We were attracted to “Kite” immediately as the first-place choice. The light is nice, and it's shot at a great, low angle. Second Place: “Big Splash” is a comical photo that the photographer captured with great timing. It makes an everyday situation interesting. Third Place: The use of light and lines in “Rappel” makes the photo graphically interesting. Alternate: Although we've seen this done before, we thought “Fall Rain Drops” was well done. It's a different way to tell the story of fall foliage.
