First Place: There were only two submissions in this category, and we thought “AJ's Story” rose to the top. The photographer clearly made a relationship with the family that paid off to gain incredible access. The story definitely needed a tighter edit, and the images became repetitive. Having too many photos took away from how powerful many of the images were. Second Place: “Yell Like Hell” had a lot of fun moments. We thought it was a good variety of angles and wide/tight shots. But, this story also needed a tighter edit and needed to be better organized in a more purposeful order. The order of the story seemed random.
