The category had a lot of good competition, but many of the entries with multiple photos could have used a tighter edit. First place encapsulated the essence of what journalism should look like with the access, intimacy, emotion and respect for the story. Could have left three to four images out. Second place emphasizes the importance of a caption that informs the reader of the story behind the image. 3rd place was a great emotional, peak rally moment that informs the viewers about passion of the participants and the issue at hand.
