Would have liked to see more entries in this category. The two winners stood out amongst the rest because they had a stronger visual narrative. 1st place Although the fentanyl story could of used a tighter edit. Finding the story and gaining access while keeping the anonymity for the people involved in the issue was key to being placed first. 2nd place Out of the handful of 9/11 memorial stair climbs we saw across all the entries this one stood out the most. You could see the way the photographer hustled to show the emotional and physical toll while seeking details and moments to develop the event.
