The submissions in Spot News were not substantial enough for us to select a single winner this month. Submissions were comprised of two entries, one of which did not belong in the spot news category and the other was a multiple-image submission that was made weaker by some of the images included. Our opinion is that if the photographer of the multiple-image submission had narrowed to their strongest photo, it might have placed.
