These essays offer a diverse and broad view of a course of events.
Every entry had at least one outstanding photograph. However, the
winning entries offered the greatest depth of quality. The judges
would like to offer a word of caution about the first place winner: The
breadth of the entry offered multiple takes on the same event, but the
abundance of work shows an overall lack of focus to the highest
quality work. Editing this essay to 8-10 images instead of 23 would
have elevated this work.
