There was some really nice work from this region overall. Feature single wasn't a strong category since there were lots of pictures that were more general news than a found situation by the photographer. Also some drone pictures were nice, but to us not contest worthy as they relied on the crutch of the aerial perspective but didn't have enough content. The classic pumpkin patch picture rose to the top as it was a nice moment, clean and well-composed and great color. We really liked the rim light and composition of the roper shot for second place and the contrail added some depth. The complex reflections really made the third-place window washer shot work, good eye by the photographer for spotting that.
