Typically one of the lowest number of entries when we judge, but the South Region had a lot of action in August it seems like. Well done on pretty much each entry.
1. Not sure if the fire department would have let you get closer (or if you would have wanted breather that in), but the choice to stand back and capture how big this was put it at #1 almost right away.
2. As photojournalists we always hate when we show up late and miss the flames, but this shot illustrates the aftermath physically and emotionally. Nice capture.
3. Framing is everything sometimes.
