First place shows a nice moment after a win, capturing the action and expressions. Second place we wish the photojournalist could have spent some more time on this one, because the juxtaposition between the toy cars in the stands and the race cars on the track could have made for a stronger image without some of the surrounding distractions. It's a tough one to nail, but we think there's a nicer moment there that could have been made. Third place, there's always a random team photographer to ruin a nice moment, but what if the photo just focused on the first two players in the left of the frame and got rid of the remaining distraction? A tighter crop or longer lens could change this into something a bit more special.
