Some of the photographs are not spot news, by definition. Too often
the photograph doesn't explain what's going on. The reader needs to
see what the caption attempts to describe - someone's rear end and
some legs sticking out of a truck cannot do justice to the tragedy and
attempted rescue going on. Showing up after the spot news event is
over and trying to make something out of nothing doesn't tell a story.
