We were really struck by the composition and the light in first place image, and the patience to get a person strolling through said light in the right spot. Second, the photographer gets low with the subject, using the feet/legs as a frame, captures an unusual moment and angle of a man hard at work. The gosling photo, again, showed a willingness to get down and close to the subjects. Nice arc of faces.
