Judges Comments

A surprisingly large number of multiple picture stories in this category. Good storytelling elevated them into placing. First had the best combination of moments, details and composition. Even though the story is about a dance, the photos didn’t appear redundant. Nicely done. Second place, The series of photos of East High students standing up against guns and violence at the State Capitol had good storytelling photos that created a nice narrative. Denver March Powwow held onto third place with its well-composed and creative angles. The photographer also made nice color exposures in the rough lighting.
