Overall, the majority of photos lacked any special visual or emotional carriage. First place won because it told a clear story. You know instantly what it’s about. The one eyeball peaking through makes you realize what happened and is visually strong. Second place shows the reactions people have to being in the public eye. Sign in the back gives context to the photo’s story. Third place had a good use of reflection. Could have cropped tighter to focus more on the reflection in the silicon. Cropping the unknown man out would have made a more interesting photo.
