Judges Comments

Tough category to judge. Multiples vs. singles. Apples and oranges. However, judge it we must. First went to the story about homeless folks trying to stay warm with help from local agencies. It was pretty well-rounded and had some really nice singles (and details). Second place went to the release of Lamar Johnson after spending 28 years behind bars for a murder he didn't commit. Some nice images in what must have been a pretty short time frame. We're hoping the photographer continues this story. And third place goes to the ice sharks. Funny stuff. Well-composed. Pretty solid moment, too.
