First place was note only a solid portrait, but storytelling, too. The attitude is perfect to illustrate this story. We were pretty impressed with the use of depth-of-field to obscure the background and really make the girls pop. Second place felt like a 1970s portrait... in a good way. Lighting was handled well and we like how the photographer utilized the existing light to frame the guy's coifs. Third place, albeit a bit on the flat side, was a pretty solid capture of a demonstrator at a Pence protest.
