This was a really light category for entries and not very strong overall, so we only had two winners here. And some weren't portraits at all, they were news photos and shouldn't have been in this category. We liked the first-place picture for it's immediate read and for having the subject peek out from behind the sign. Window light on the upper left of the sign a bit distracting though. Second place was a nice environmental portrait with a subtle mood.
