First -- Photographer was in the right place at the time. Image is striking while still being respectful of victim’s identity, given that they didn’t know victim’s status. Second -- Jarring seeing a military presence in a suburban setting. The photographer clearly had to hustle to be in the right spot and kudos to them. Third -- Photographer made a pleasing and informative frame out of a sticky situation. Back of the frame focus on cars worked in this case.
