Judges Comments

Tough category to judge as we wanted more need more emotion and connection between the photographer and the subjects. Great depth of field and composition for this location-appropriate portrait making it the clear winner. Lighting carries the second-place photo. Could be cleaner composition and more about the man and less about his garage. Third place photo was captured in what appears to us as tight quarters and tough, just want more personality from the student.
