Judges Comments

Nine photos entered in the category, and it appears all were from the same photographer -- and all of them solid work. In a departure from the other categories, spot news entries had really great captions. Kudos. First place is a heartbreaking scene shot well. Second brings more story-telling from a fire scene during a heat wave. Third was simply the best of the rest, with another couple of fine spot news scenes yielding good photos.
