Judges Comments

First place is a strong use of drone photography. The composition draws the viewer’s eye across the entire frame, but the kayaker gets a little lost and would stand out more if they more isolated on a darker area of the water with less foam. The water droplets are really interesting in the second place photo and the tight crop in this situation makes for a different take on what could have been a more typical photo. The colors are great in the third place image, but we would have preferred if there was more space between one of the silhouetted subjects and the lighthouse.
