Judges Comments

The composition of first place was strong and clean although it could have benefitted from a person in the background not coming out of their head. It was also a nice moment captured between the worker and child. On our second place, the photographer took what cold have been a boring assignment/photo and created an image that was compositionally interesting and had a good sense of mood. Although drought is often hard to depict in photos, our third place image was pretty successful in conveying the impact.
