Judges Comments

First place went to the photo of the teen muralist because we thought it was fun seeing all the different types of faces, real and painted. Second place went to the activists portrait because of the soft Springtime light and shallow depth of field pulls the viewers focus onto the subject. Third place was given to the portrait of the choral ensemble leader because of the effort the photographer made to create a visual scene out of what must have been an otherwise dull environment. Honorable mention went to the stained glass window silhouette portrait. It was technically well executed above other entries, although we thought the concept was cliché.
