Winners in the lightly-entered Photo Essay category were ranked quickly through competent storytelling from photographers employing a variety of camera techniques, angles and perspectives. First award featuring the homeless family was a substantial entry, offering 15 images, but each were insightful and added to the whole of the story. Second place winner was a concise profile of a unique subject, well-photographed and seen. Third award also offered a variety of looks relating to a single subject although a lesser lede image and caption gave us a little trouble initially discerning just what the story was.
